Norco Grain Team - Our Focus, Our Team

Norco Grain falls under the Norco Rural Agribusiness business unit and was established in 2010 to service grain growers and end-users, which includes the Norco Co-operative milk suppliers in New South Wales and Queensland.

We are an established Australian grain marketing and agricultural commodity trading business which is based in Toowoomba, Queensland. We  trade and supply a wide variety of grains such as, oilseeds, protein meals, pulses and hay which includes; wheat, sorghum, barley, maize, sunflowers, mung beans, field peas, lupins, chickpeas, triticale, oats, cottonseed, millets, canola meal, cottonseed meal, and lucerne & oaten hay.

Ian Hanley - Manager Grain Trading

Ian joined the Co-operative in 2010 forming the Grain Trade division in the Toowoomba Office. With over 30 years of experience in the grain industry working for a large Australian agribusiness, he was responsible for their domestic sales and marketing. Ian strengths lay in his knowledge of domestic and grower markets with a primary focus on customer relationships.

Neville Brown - Grain Accumulator

Neville joined the Grain Trade team in 2013. Neville brings over 40 years experience in the hay and grain industry while based in the Lockyer Valley and Goondiwindi. Neville’s wealth of knowledge in the agricultural industry allows him to focus on servicing Norco milk suppliers with all of their raw ingredient requirements, as well as buying grain from growers in Queensland and New South Wales.

Mitch Hanley – Coordinator Logistics

Mitch joined the Grain Trade team in 2012 as the Logistics Officer and is responsible for the movement of all commodities traded.  His position involves the management of all purchase and sale contracts along with the negotiation of freight rates and contracting freight. Mitch also assists in Grain Trade administration. 

Lyn Darr – Grain Administrator     


Lyn joined the team in 2010 with over 30 years experience in office administration.  Lyn is responsible for all aspects of the divisions’ admin which includes grower payments, end-user invoicing and customer service.
