MAINTENANCE SHIFT FITTER

Norco Foods, based on the beautiful NSW North Coast is a leading contract manufacturer of ice cream and packaged milk products, tailor making premium products specifically for our customer’s requirements. We are seeking an energetic and flexible Maintenance Fitter for our busy ice cream manufacturing operation in Lismore, employing in excess of 100 staff including a team of 15 trade staff dedicated to maintenance activities.

This role is a full time permanent salaried position that requires the ability to work a flexible roster and after hours call outs as required.

The primary function of this position is to provide high quality maintenance and repairs to equipment throughout the plant, with a strong emphasis on preventative maintenance to achieve targeted production levels.


To be successful in this role you will need:

  • A Trade Certificate in Mechanical Fitting and Machining
  • Machine maintenance and fault finding experience
  • Stainless Steel fabrication - Tig Welding
  • A pro-active and diligent attitude
  • The ability to work in a team environment
  • Experience with packaging machinery

Desirable skills for the role are:

  • Refrigeration Certificate
  • Experience with machine installations
  • Pneumatics experience
  • Computer skills
  • Understanding of food manufacturing processes and hygiene requirements.
  • Dairy manufacturing experience

Shift Maintenance Electrician

Labrador Qld

Looking for a lifestyle change, within miles of surf beach, lush green rainforest, world-class golfing greens and world-famous theme parks, then this might be for you. Norco are seeking an energetic and flexible Maintenance Electrician for our busy milk operation in Labrador, employing in excess of 200 employees including a team of Maintenance employees.

The purpose of this position is to carry out electrical maintenance work for our Labrador plant. This is a shift position with access to overtime and generous award provisions will apply.

This role is a full time permanent salaried position that requires the ability to work a flexible shift roster and after hours call out roster as required.

Essential selection criteria include:

  • Demonstrated skills in industrial electrical installations and maintenance.
  • Experience in manufacturing / production environments
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-faceted team environment
  • Current A Grade Electrical Licence
  • Demonstrated effective/ natural communication skills.
  • Availability for shiftwork (including night, weekend) and overtime
  • Current drivers licence
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLC and Citect SCADA based automation systems.
  • Experience with test and calibration of instrumentation.
  • Demonstrable skills and experience in relation to safety including risk management

Desirable selection criteria

  • Knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems.
  • Understanding of food manufacturing processes and hygiene requirements.
  • Dairy manufacturing experience
