Shift Maintenance Electrician

We are currently looking for a highly skilled, energetic and flexible Maintenance Electrician for our busy milk manufacturing operation in Raleigh, employing in excess of 150 staff.

This role is a full time permanent salaried position that requires the ability to work a flexible shift roster and after hours call out roster as required.

The purpose of this position is the provision of preventative and corrective electrical maintenance as part of the factory's maintenance team. Ideally the successful applicant will possess the following essential & desirable selection criteria.

Essential selection criteria include:

  • Demonstrated skills in industrial electrical installations and maintenance.
  • Experience in manufacturing / production environments
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi faceted team environment
  • Current A Grade Electrical Licence
  • Demonstrated effective/ natural communication skills.
  • Availability for shiftwork (including night, weekend) and overtime
  • Current drivers licence
  • Experience with Omron / Allen Bradley PLC and Citect SCADA based automation systems.
  • Experience with test and calibration of instrumentation.
  • Demonstrable skills and experience in relation to safety including risk management

Desirable selection criteria

  • Knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems.
  • Understanding of food manufacturing processes and hygiene requirements.
  • Dairy manufacturing experience

Boiler Attendant

Labrador, QLD

Norco Co-operative Limited are producers of a host of Australia's most popular and well known brands & products in the consumer Ice Cream, Cheese & Milk sectors. We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Engine Driver who will be committed to the operation, monitoring and logging of coal and oil fired boilers to supply steam for the processing of milk based in Labrador.

You will possess ammonia refrigeration plant experience within factory cold rooms including air conditioning and product cooling. You will also have experience with compressed air systems and chilled water systems.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will follow the Site Operational & safety procedures to ensure our customer orders are 100% in spec, in full, on time.

To be considered you need to demonstrate the following selection criteria in a written application:

  • Current steam boiler ticket coupled with a minimum of 3 years experience.
  • Experience in ammonia refrigeration.
  • Written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Model safe work practices & compliance to Norco policies & procedures.

Hours of Work:

Roster: 24/7 rotating shifts; 4 on 4 off.

Quality Systems Co-ordinator

Norco Co-operative Limited is a well established and dynamic organisation which has grown from a regional dairy co-operative to a national force in manufacturing with interests in Milk, Ice Cream, Cheese and other dairy products, as well as Rural Stores and Stockfeeds manufacture.

Having already undergone significant growth in the past decade, not only does our organisation continue to expand, but we have aggressive plans to increase our offering and market share both nationally and internationally. Recently, an opportunity for an experienced Quality Systems Co-ordinator has been made available based at our Labrador production facility. We are looking for someone who will play a key role in establishing and maintaining our Food Safety and Quality Systems across the two sites at Raleigh & Labrador.

To be considered for this role you need to demonstrate the following selection criteria in an application:

  • Ability to implement and maintain strategic Food Safety and Quality Systems.
  • Have a strong knowledge and understanding of Quality Management Systems with a minimum 5 years experience in an FMCG environment.
  • Previous Lead Auditor and Internal Auditing experience.
  • Ability to communicate quality issues effectively to all levels of the business.
  •  Working knowledge of current Food safety legislation in Domestic and Export markets
  • Lead the implementation of quality initiatives throughout the production process, ensuring adherence to HACCP, GMP, SQF and Retailer standards
  •  A degree/diploma in Food Science or related discipline.
